Continuing the series of meetings that were held yesterday with the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Change (Goran) Movement regarding the forming of the new cabinet of the KRG, KDP`s delegation has visited today the Islamic parties in Erbil.

The meetings with the Islamic parties, the Kurdistan Islamic Group and Islamic Union of Kurdistan, were believed to be positive by all sides.

Early this month, Nechirvan Barzani was elected as KRG’s new prime minister. He has one month to form the eighth cabinet of KRG.

According to the official statistics provided by the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC), the KDP won 38 seats in the legislative elections, the Change Movement won 24 seats, the PUK 18, the KIU 10, the KIG 6, and the Kurdistan Islamic Movement (KIM).
