Willing to attract more tourists to Kurdistan Region, the First Erbil International Tourism Conference started. The conference was held yesterday Nov 17, 2013, featuring 120 tourism companies from 12 different countries.

The conference will last two days of which the first day included giving speeches regarding making Erbil the capital of tourism for 2014 and opening some photographic exhibitions.

The second day will feature the gathering and meeting of participants, university lecturers, and the companies, discussing what should be done to attract more tourists to the Kurdistan Region.

The aim for holding this conference is to attract companies from other countries and introduce them to the tourism sector in Kurdistan Regione.
