At least 80 people were killed and wounded in a terrorist bombing targeted a crowd of Shiite mourners in Saadia sub- district.


The explosion took place amid crowds of mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, in the Kurdish Zarkosh village Saadia sub- district in Khanaqin.

Sheikh Ahmed al- Zarkoshi Direcot of Saadia sub- district announced that the terrorist bombing was carried out by an explosive belt and resulted in the deaths of 45 people, and injuring 105 others.
