Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu will visit neighboring Iraqon Nov. 10-11 at the invitation of his Iraqi counterpart Hoshyar Zebari, as Ankara and Baghdad continue to hold high level meetings to improve ties, a Turkish official statement said Saturday.

Davutoglu is scheduled to meet with Iraqi Vice President Khodair al-Khozaei, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Zebari along with other high-level Iraqi officials, said the statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
"Davutoglu's visit to Iraq will improve the ties as well as developing the relations between the two countries," the statement said.
However, the statement has not fixed the date of Davutoglu's visit to Iraq.
Two weeks ago, Zebari visited Turkey to improve their bilateral ties amid growing uncertainty in the Middle East.
The Turkish foreign minister announced on Oct. 25 that he was preparing to visit Baghdad in two weeks.
Iraq is Turkey's second largest trading partner after Germany. Last year, trade between Turkey and Iraq amounted to 10.8 billion U.S. dollars.
According to Turkish government data, export to Iraq in the first eight months of 2013 stood at 7.6 billion dollars, up 12 percent from the same period last year.
