On a meeting, yesterday Nov 6, 2013, Kosrat Rasul, Deputy Secretary General of PUK, received Nechirvan Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways of forming the new cabinet of government and exchanging ideas concerning to the subject.

In the meeting Mr. Rasul expressed his wishes that the next cabinet be formed with the participation of all the political parties and that the next parliament will be the place where the political forces compete to better serve the region and its people.

He also emphasized the importance of holding the provincial elections in the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible.

On his side, Barzani thanked Mr. Kosrat Rasul for his warm hospitality and confirmed that, “as Kurdistan Regional Government, they would like all the sides to participate in the government and nobody puts difficult conditions to others.”

Another part of their discussions was the acceptance of law of elections in the Iraqi Parliament, and highlighted the role of Kurdish representatives in the parliament.

They also talked about the recent visitation of Nechirvan Barzni to Turkey, and they expressed their happiness for the enhancement of Kurdistan Region's political and economic relations with neighboring countries.
