To further improve the health sector of the Kurdistan Region, yesterday, Nov. 5, 2013, KRG Ministry of Health signed an understanding deal with its equivalent on the German side.

This deal opens new horizons regarding health sector in the Kurdistan Region.


“As the Kurdistan Region, we take another important step forward regarding health issues,” said Dr. Rekawt Hamarashid, KRG Health Minister.


The next step will be to send health personnel to Germany to be trained and some patients to be treated, Dr. Rekawt added. This will no doubt be a great effort to develop health sector in the region.
