Although, law makers in Iraqi Parliament have not yet reached a general consensus over Election Law, something is guaranteed: Kurds will get three more seats in the Iraqi Parliament’s new term due to an increase of population.


Elections Law is still on the wait in Iraqi Parliament, a Kurdish representative says, but what is confirmed is the addition of three more chairs for the Kurds.


Burhan Muhammad, Member of Iraqi Parliament said “the meetings are still pending on elections law, but it is settled that Kurdistan Region will get additional three seats in the next term of parliament”
