Kurdish politician and a member of organizing board of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Omar Sheikh Moos insist that Kurdistan government must not be under the control of political Islamist parties and they must not be the head of sensitive ministries such as Ministry of Education.

Moos clearly explained his opinion on the role of Islamist in the new government to Bas newspaper, clarifying that Kurdistan is a democratic region with democratic laws, which are not well-matched with Islamic policies.

“They must have seats as a result of democratic process, but they must not be the head of government or even the head of some ministries such as Ministry of Education”, he said.
