Ahead of the continuing disagreement among Iraqi political parties on election law, Independent Kurdish MP Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistan Alliance confirmed that Kurds favor one circle election.

"The political blocs have different opinions about this law, some demanding that Iraq will be one circle and others demanding multiple and each bloc sticks to its view, therefore the political blocs do not agree on the final version of the law." Othman said.


"If the dispute continued among the political blocs on the law and did not agree, the Presidency of the Council of Representatives would present the law directly to a vote, and this is the dominant trend of most of the political blocs." He added.
