Erbil Explosions: General Security Force Releases Statement, ISIL Claims responsibility
General Security Force (Asaish) released a statement on today’s bomb attacks near its’ headquarter in Erbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. The statement comes after a series of explosions has rocked the city, killing 6 members of the security services.

“A man inside a mini-bus tried to enter the headquarter. The security guards tried to stop the car, shooting the terrorist. The bus exploded, followed shortly after by 4 other gunmen tried to enter the HQ, but they have been shot to death by security forces. Unfortunately, six of Kurdish security forces died while fighting with the bombers”

“The second car explosion happened when a terrorist with an ambulance came close and targeted the Asaish HQ ”, the statement added.

“ It is important and helpful for security forces that people report anything suspicious,” read the statement.

Islamic terrorist group called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed the responsibility.

The number of wounded increased to 64 people.
