A statement released by Provincial Council of Kirkuk yesterday July 23, condemning the recent terrorist attacks. It also called for an urgent and serious plan to stop the security violations which are faced by the people of Kirkuk.

The statement strongly condemned the recent attacks on Kirkuk targeting innocent people, stressing that the aim of their attacks is to raise sectarianism among the citizens of Kirkuk.

“Security forces should face these terrorist attacks strongly and to clean the province from the terrorist groups” the statement reads.

Kirkuk had been witnessing terrorist attacks frequently in the past few months, the latest attack was yesterday, that’s when two terrorist attacks had targeted two Mosques in the city of Kirkuk during prayers, the attacks resulted in killing and injuring of 40 innocent people.
