President of Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani received a delegation of Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union on July 9, 2013, KRG website reported.

During a meeting held in Salahadin, the two sides discussed the current situations and the latest developments in Syria and Western Kurdistan.

For his part, President Barzani shed light on the current situation in Syria, stressing that it as an opportunity for Kurds to achieve their national rights in the region.

The Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union is a formed Kurdish political organization that is active in Syria.
