President Masoud Barzani plans to announce his stance on the recent decision by Parliament that allows him to remain in power for two more years after he returns home in few days.

In a statement released by Kurdistan Region Presidency official website, President of Kurdistan Masoud Barzani is going to address his own standpoint on the two years extension of the term of Kurdistan presidency as well as the postponed parliament election after he returns to Kurdistan Region in the coming days.

Barzani left Kurdistan on June 29th for Moscow to participate in Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum and followed by his current trip to a numbers of European countries.

Parliament announced that President Barzani will remain in power until August 19, 2015; the decision came after the majority of voters agreed on the extension of presidency term.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held later this year.
