Janabi calls to restore arms industry in Iraq
The UN Security Council is scheduled to vote on the resolution of lifting the UN sanctions on Iraq stated in the Charter’s Seventh Chapter Thursday.
Janabi said: “After being relieved from the UN sanctions, Iraq can renew this industry to manufacture weapons which would help reduce the expenses of the importation as Iraq has good experience in this industry.”
“Iraq has the funds, proficiencies and all requirements in field of manufacturing weapons so it is a good idea to rehabilitate the relevant plants or establish new ones,” he stressed.
