A delegation of Kurdistan university rectors visited Spain on the 7th-11th of April 2013. Dr. Mosleh Duhoky, President of UoD, a member of the delegation, clarified that the visit was successful and productive.

Dr. Duhoky went on to say, “During the visit, we visited several universities and laboratories in Barcelona and Madrid and met with the International Agency of Spain, discussing with them the possibilities of having cooperation agreements with Kurdistan’ Universities.”

Dr. Duhoky also said” the visit was arranged by the representative of the KRG in Spain and eleven rectors from Kurdistan Universities took part.” “The purpose behind the visit was to strengthen relations between the two parties and to put forward plans for sending students and academics from the Kurdistan Region to Spain, for scientific research and supervising PhD researches. “The Spanish party, for their part showed willingness for any cooperation and help that Kurdistan might need”.
