Kurdistan and Greece discuss bilateral relations
Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office Hemin Hawrami received a delegation from Greece’s New Democratic Party led by Antonis Samaras.

Mr Hawrami welcomed the delegation, highlighting the history of the Kurdistan Democratic Party to in building a civil and democratic society. He also gave a brief explanation to the delegation about the Kurdistan-Region’s prosperity and development.



Mr Samaras, a member of Greek parliament and head of New Democratic Party’s relations committee, praised the Kurdish people for the sacrifices they made and expressed consolidation of bilateral relations between the two sides politically and economically. The delegation talked of developing diplomatic relations between Kurdistan and Greece, while urging Greek Foreign Ministry to commit to solidarity in relations.



For his part, Mr Hawrami said the visit of the delegation was the first step to work for the recognition of Kurdish people and establishing solidarity between the two regions.
