The Presidency of Kurdistan Region had announced that the date for the next Presidential Elections in Kurdistan Region had been scheduled in 21 September by the president of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barazani.


Barazani had called on the responsible sides to be prepared for the elections in Kurdistan Region, stressing that no party can interfere in the voting and elections process.


Kurdistan Region's President had announced the scheduled date for the election after receiving the responding letter from the Independent High Electoral Commission, the Commission had expressed their willingness to perform elections at any time between the fifth of September and fifth of October.
