Today March 31, 2013, Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and Kurdistan Democratic Party politburos held a joint meeting. Following the meeting, they issued a joint statement for the public regarding the agenda of the meeting.

The statement reveals the agenda of the meeting which was about the current issues between KRG and the Baghdad Federal Government and the Kurdistan leadership's political position concerning the future of relations between both Erbil and Baghdad.

Both parties discussed the principles of the Strategic Agreement between PUK and KDP towards more cooperation in the future. The meeting also discussed the upcoming elections to remove obstacles on the road of the elections.
