More than 70 thousand tourists set to visit Kurdistan region for Nawroz
The Kurdistan General Tourism Board is expecting more than 70 thousand tourists to visit Kurdistan for the Nawroz holiday.
Press secretary at the board Nadir Rosti said so far two thousand tourists from Iran are in Kurdistan.

A further two thousand could not cross the Iraq-Iran border yesterday and are still waiting to enter the region.

"A large number of Iraqi Arab tourists are now in Kurdistan cities and many hotels are already occupied,” Rosti said.

Rosti also mentioned that all preparatory and hospitality measures are now in place for the celebrations.

Some 45 thousand tourists visited Kurdistan at the same time last year.
