Minister of Interior answers parliamentary questions
Mr. Sinjari explained the role of the Ministry in maintaining security and stability throughout the Kurdistan Region. The Minister informed the MPs about a committee formed to look into the recent incidents in the Badinan area. Anyone found responsible for instigating the incidents will be pursued in accordance with the laws of the Region no matter who they may be.
He also discussed the plans and efforts to decrease the number of traffic accidents in the Region. They have installed cameras to help control the situation and are using radar to control speeding. The Ministry has 103 billion I.D. in their budget of which 53 billion I.D. has been applied to programs to reduce the number of traffic accidents.
