In the framework of the joint meetings between the Political Bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) , the Higher Joint Committee held a meeting on Monday.

The meeting discussed the ongoing situation in Syria and the position of the neighboring and the west countries of it , as well as the position of the Iraqi federal government from both the current authority and the opposition in Syria.

the meeting also discussed the recent problems and tensions in Baghdad , especially the issue of the outstanding issues.

The meeting attendance stressed that Kurdistan Region should play a role in addressing the problems, and resolve the outstanding issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government.
