Major General Jamal Tahir Kirkuk Police Chief , stressed , in a statement to PUKmedia , the need to form committees in order to closely see the readiness of the police forces in the province and to study their ability to take over the security file, after the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

We sent a list to the Federal Interior Ministry, including some of requirements needed by the police departments, if they were fulfilled , then our forces will be able to maintain security in Kirkuk province, General Tahir said.
