President Nechirvan Barzani met with Muthanna al-Samarrai, the Head of the Azm Alliance and a Member of the Iraqi Parliament. The two sides discussed the overall situation in the country, the Kurdistan parliamentary elections, the relationship between Erbil and Baghdad, as well as the upcoming elections in Iraq.

During the meeting, Mr. Al-Samarai extended his congratulations to President Nechirvan Barzani for the successful conduct of the parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan Region. Both parties acknowledged the importance of ongoing dialogue between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government of Iraq in addressing various issues. They concurred that resolving these matters is beneficial for all of Iraq and contributes to the stability of the entire country.

Discussions emphasized political cooperation and the necessity for Iraq to avoid becoming involved in the Middle East conflicts.
