President Nechirvan Barzani attended a ceremony on Tuesday evening marking the German Unity Day, hosted by the German Consulate General in Erbil. The event, held at the Divan Hotel, was attended by senior government officials, political leaders, diplomats, and other distinguished guests.

In his remarks, President Nechirvan Barzani extended his congratulations to the German people on the occasion and expressed the Kurdistan Region's deep appreciation for Germany’s continued support and cooperation.

The German Consul General conveyed his appreciation and gratitude for President Nechirvan Barzani's presence at the ceremony, highlighting his country's dedication to enhancing support, reinforcing ties, and cultivating friendship with the Kurdistan Region.

The event, occurring on October 3, has been commemorated annually since 1990.
