On Wednesday, 28 August 2024, Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), received Supark Prongthura, the Ambassador of Thailand to Jordan and Iraq.

The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Thailand with an emphasis on trade, agriculture, tourism, and strengthening economic ties.

Ambassador Prongthura discussed ways to expand economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan Regional Government, for which a Thai business delegation is in Erbil.

Prime Minister reiterated the Kurdistan Region's desire to enhance relations based on mutual interests.
