Kurdistan Regional Government Council Holds Regular Meeting to Discuss Key Issues

Erbil, Kurdistan Region - Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers held its regular meeting today, Wednesday. The agenda included four key topics of discussion.

According to a statement from the Media and Information Department of the KRG, the first item on the agenda was a report by the Chairman of the Kurdistan Areas outside the Regional Administration Authority, focusing on the current situation in those regions. This report provided an overview of the conditions and challenges faced in these areas.

The second item addressed the federal general budget law for 2024-2025. The council reviewed a report on the schedules attached to this law, which had been approved by the Federal Council of Ministers in a recent extraordinary meeting. This discussion aimed to ensure alignment and readiness for the upcoming fiscal policies and allocations.

In the third agenda item, the council discussed a report from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The report emphasized the importance of enhancing support for small and medium-sized youth projects, highlighting initiatives and strategies to bolster youth entrepreneurship and employment in the region.

The final topic of the meeting focused on the infrastructure and transportation sector. The council examined a report on the main roads between the region's cities, particularly the movement of trucks and tankers between Erbil and Sulaymaniyah. This discussion aimed to address and improve the logistics and transportation networks crucial for economic activities.
