Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has reaffirmed the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) dedication to safeguarding the rights of all ethnic and religious groups in the Kurdistan Region. This pledge was made during a meeting on Wednesday with Mitja Leskovar, the outgoing Vatican Ambassador to Iraq.

During the discussion, Prime Minister Barzani and Ambassador Leskovar reviewed the current situation of the region’s diverse communities. Ambassador Leskovar expressed his gratitude for the KRG's cooperation and support, which he noted had been instrumental in aiding his mission in Iraq. He highlighted the importance of continued efforts to protect the rights of all communities, particularly Christians, in the Kurdistan Region.
