In a bid to bolster higher education and healthcare services, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Aram Qadir of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) unveiled ambitious plans for the establishment of a medical college at Halabja University.

During a visit to Halabja, Minister Qadir formally announced the decision, stating, "Today, during our visit to Halabja, we formally announced the decision to establish a medical college at Halabja University. To kickstart this crucial endeavor, we have allocated two hundred million dinars."

This significant development follows the recent visit of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani to Halabja, during which he underscored the necessity of having a medical college in the province. Prime Minister Barzani's directive provided impetus for the Kurdistan Regional Government's proactive steps towards realizing this educational initiative.
