Israeli Military Intensifies Air Strikes on Gaza, Ground Invasion Expected

In a significant escalation of the ongoing conflict, the Israeli military has pledged to intensify air strikes on the Gaza Strip. They have also issued a warning to Palestinians residing in the northern part of the territory to evacuate to the south. The military states that this move is aimed at "minimizing the risks to our forces in the next stages of the war," which is expected to be a ground invasion.

Hamas, the Palestinian militant group, reported that 55 people were killed in overnight air raids on Gaza. In response, Israel has stated that it targeted "dozens of terrorists" in its airstrikes.

Disturbing images have emerged, showing the bodies of approximately a dozen deceased children and many other Palestinians in a hospital morgue in central Gaza. The exact time and location of their deaths remain unclear.

Separately, the Israeli military confirmed that it struck a Hamas cell that was taking refuge in a mosque in the occupied West Bank.

The United Nations (UN) is striving to provide more humanitarian aid to Gaza today, following the successful delivery of vital supplies yesterday. This marks the first time aid reached the people of Gaza since the onset of the conflict.

This report comes in the wake of two weeks of intense hostilities initiated by Hamas, resulting in the deaths of over 1,400 people. Palestinian officials report that more than 4,300 people in Gaza have lost their lives since the conflict began.

The situation remains highly fluid and volatile, with deep concerns over the impact on civilian populations in the region. International efforts are ongoing to address and de-escalate the crisis.
