President Nechirvan Barzani received the Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Project, Sheikh Jamal Al-Dhari today in Erbil.

The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Iraq, the steps taken so far to hold the parliamentary session in Baghdad to elect the President and to designate the prime minister of the next Iraqi federal government.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of common understanding among Iraqi parties and communities to finding solutions, overcoming the current critical challenges and preserving supreme national interests.
