President Masoud Barzani receives US Ambassador to Iraq
OnTuesday, President Masoud Barzani received the US Ambassador to Iraq, Matthew H. Tueller, in Salah al-Din.
The meeting, which was also attended by US Consul General Robert Palladino in Erbil, praised the culture of coexistence and harmony between the religious and various structures of the Kurdistan Region and praised the institutions in the Kurdistan Region for preserving coexistence in the Kurdistan Region.
The meeting discussed the general aspects of the strategic dialogue between the United States and Iraq, and the US Ambassador to Iraq's commitment to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the support of the Kurdistan Peshmerga Forces and the strengthening of relations between his country and the Kurdistan Region in the fields of culture and economy.
The meeting also focused on the political process, the living conditions of Iraqi citizens, and the threats ahead of the upcoming Iraqi elections, as well as the views on the post-election phase in Iraq and the relationship between the Kurdish parties and the Iraqi parties.
