A fire broke out in Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital for Corona patients in the Dhi Qar Governorate, in the south of the country.
On Monday, the Iraqi News Agencies reported that a fire broke out in an isolation center for people infected with Coronavirus in Imam Hussein Hospital in Dhi Qar.
The death toll from the fire of the isolation center in Imam Hussein Hospital rose to 64 martyrs and 50 wounded, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported.
The Iraqi News Agencies said the authorities had evacuated the hospital from the patients.
The agencies quoted a statement from the Ministry of Interior that "civil defense teams are fighting a fire incident in the center of Dhi Qar governorate inside Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital."
This fire comes hours after a fire in the headquarters of the Iraqi Ministry of Health in Baghdad.
Last April, a fire broke out in Ibn Al-Khattab Hospital in Baghdad, which is also dedicated to isolating Coronavirus patients, and at that time about 100 people were killed.
