The official spokesman for the Kurdistan Regional Government issued a statement regarding the recent statements that indicated that the planes that bombed the Popular Mobilization Forces were launched from Erbil airport.

Jutiar Adel said during the clarification that the so-called Ahmed al-Maksusi, one of the officials of the Sayyid al-Shuhada Brigades militia, stated that the American planes that targeted the militias were launched from Erbil International Airport.

He added that while we reject these allegations altogether, we consider them to be baseless allegations, while the truth is the opposite of what he has fabricated, and that the attacks that targeted Erbil were carried out by outlaw militias, and what this person claimed has very bad connotations.

He continued, saying that Al-Maksusi's allegations prove, with conclusive evidence, that any potential attacks that could affect Erbil are the actions of the parties to which Al-Maksousi belongs and those like him, and that what he has fabricated is nothing but a pretext they made in advance to attack Erbil.
