ERBIL — Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), Masrour Barzani, on Thursday praised the continued support from the UK to the ongoing reform efforts at the Peshmerga ministry of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The remarks were made during a meeting between Barzani and a UK high-level delegation led by Defense Senior Adviser to the Middle East Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer.

“In the meeting, Chancellor Barzani praised the continued UK support for reforms and integration within the Ministry of Peshmerga Affairs and Peshmerga forces,” according to the readout of the meeting published on KRSC official website.

“He also stressed the importance Kurdistan Region receives a fair share of the defense programs, training and equipment offered to Iraq,” the readout concluded.
