Investments in Kurdistan region reach $37 billion
The government of Iraqi region of Kurdistan announced that the volume of investments reached to $37 billion.

Investment plans in the region concentrated in 2012-2013 on agricultural and industrial projects, in addition to housing construction.

The sources added that the increase in investments reached to 100% in comparison to 2012.
According to available figures, Erbil got $21 billion, $11.4 billion for Sulaimaniya and $4.56 billion for Duhuk provinces.

On the other hand, 47812 donums of land were allocated to implement 644 investment projects in the region, as registered.

Most of the investment companies prefer the Kurdish region, unlike other province, due to stability and privileges given by the Kurdish government.

The Kurdish region became a new economic center in the Middle East, where bigger companies in fields of energy, re-construction, tourism and trade are pouring there.
