Today is marking the date of Flag Day in Kurdistan Region. For this reason, many activities are being prepared in all three provinces of Iraqi Kurdistan as teachers, students and government staffs in the region wear Kurdish traditional clothes.

In the Kurdistan Region Flag Day is celebrated on Dec 17 each year .It commemorates the adoption of the Flag Day of the Kurdistan Region.

From 2009, Kurdistan Parliament nominated for Flag Day Dec 17 and Kurdish people attend at the celebration to pay tribute to Flag Day every year.

Today, Celebrity Tribute from Flag Day was performed at all Kurdish schools, universities and government agencies.
