President Masoud Barzani yesterday met with Mrs. Lyndall Sachs, Australia's ambassador to Iraq in his office in Salahaddin. During the meeting the President and Ambassador Sachs talked about the latest political developments in Iraq and the upcoming elections Iraq, due April 2014.



President Barzani and ambassador Sachs also discussed the developments in Syria and the impact of the situation there on Iraq.



Ambassador Sachs also discussed Australia's role for higher education for Iraqi students and added that the plan is to continue to accept Iraqi students at Australia's institutions of higher education. President Barzani expressed his support and appreciation for that initiative.
