Kurdistan Region President Masoud Barzani yesterday met with Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz in Salahaddin.


The President and the Turkish Minister both expressed their satisfaction with the constantly improving ties between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region and reiterated that this strengthening of ties, including energy cooperation, is not only beneficial to Turkey and Kurdistan, but it is in the interests of Iraq as a whole.

The Turkish minister arrived in Erbil yesterday to take part in the annual oil and gas conference currently being held in Erbil, which the Minister described as very successful.
