Source from the police announced that the President of Mosul University had escaped an assassination attempt which resulted in injuring his bodyguard.


Tuesday, December 03, 2013, the campus of Mosul University had witnessed a blast of a sticky bomb planted in the car of Mosul University's President, Aby Saad al-Dahyoji, the blast resulted in injuring one of his bodyguards.

Al-Dahyoji had escaped his assassination attempt with no harm, source added that security forces had rushed into the place of the blast and opened an immediate investigation to reveal the circumstances of the attack.
