President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barazani, called for consolidate relations with the United Arab Emirates, expressed satisfaction with the level the relations reached.

A statement issued on Wednesday, Oct. 9, by the Region's Presidency, said that Barazani received the UAE Consul General in Erbil, Rashid al-Mansour.

The UAE Consul General congratulated the people of Kurdistan Region on their successful Parliamentary election. He stressed his country's desire to consolidate political and economic relations between Kurdistan Region and the United Arab Emirates in the interest of both sides.

For his part, Barazani expressed satisfaction for the level the relations between Kurdistan Region and the UAE reached, calling to consolidate their relations.
