Quality Control Director, Muayad Abdulrahman, announces in a press conference that they, with ministries of Agriculture, Commerce, and Finance, are trying to reach an agreement with a Turkish company on those products that are imported from Turkey to Iraq.

"Some of the companies that imported goods to Iraq had not followed our instructions and we had not known enough knowledge on their products" he added.

"This is an attempt to control the quality of goods and reducing the amount of shoddy and faulty goods in Iraq and Kurdistan" he explained.

Abdulrahman says this attempt will prevent ninety percent of the expired products to enter the country.
