Obama wins a second term as U.S. president
- Barack Obama has won a second term as president after taking Ohio, the AP reports. Though Mitt Romney won North Carolina and a number of deep red states, and Florida and Virginia still haven't been called, Ohio was critical to Romney's victory.

Obama thanked his supporters on Twitter: "We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are. Thank you. -bo"

If you're wondering why Ohio was handed to Obama even though about 25% of votes are still uncounted and Obama is ahead by less than a percentage point, the Wall Street Journal has an answer for you: "The counties in which Mr. Obama is leading have a lot more uncounted votes than the counties that have supported Mitt Romney. So Mr. Obama's lead is more likely to widen than narrow."
