Dijla Operations Command attack civil activists
The Dijla Operations Command forces attacked Monday a number of civil activists who were carrying a brotherhood and peaceful message to the people of Qaratapa sub-district in Diyala.

The vehicles carrying a number of the civil organizations in Garmiyan and Committee for Defending the High Interests of Khanaqin that were delivering a message of brotherhood and peace were prevented from entering Qaratapa sub-district by 10 military trucks of Iraqi Army, civil activist Nizam Shabib told PUKmedia.

“We are calling for the dissolution of the Dijla Operations Command and the implementation of article 140 of Iraqi constitution and promote the culture of peace and brotherhood to prevent sectarian beliefs,” said Shabib.

PUKmedia reporter says he was hurt by the Iraqi forces and witnesses the attacks on the civil activists.
