President Barzani visits Syrian refugee Domiz Camp in Duhok province
On Sunday, September 2, 2012 -Kurdistan President Masoud Barzani visited a Syrian refugee Domiz Camp in Duhok Province in Kurdistan Region.

Today, Kurdistan Region President, Masoud Barzani with Duhok Governorate and the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees (UNHCR) visited the Domiz refugee Camp for Syrian people in Duhok province, which provides shelter to over 7,000 refugees later today and their number is increasing by the thousands every day. The purpose of President Barzani’s Syrian Camp visit to see the humanitarian situation and assess the plight of Syrian refugee fleeing from violence in Syria.

Kurdistan Region has provided humanitarian groups working in the camps provide medicine , food and shelter,...Although refugees say, they are satisfied for their camps in Kurdistan region.

UNHCR is working to provide humanitarian assistance, basic education and access to water and sanitation in cooperation with the Directorate of Displacement and Migration in Duhok (DDM), the Kurdistan Regional Government, World Food Program (WFP) and a number of other UN agencies.

Nearly 20,000 people have been killed since the uprising began in March 2011 and 202,000 refugees in neighboring countries of Syria .
