– Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshiyar Zebari headed the meeting session of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Tehran on Wednesday.

Zebari led the session because Iraq at the moment is the vice president of the Asian/Arab group in the movement.

Iraq's Foreign Ministry said in a statement earlier: “The ministerial meeting comes in order to make an agenda and decisions of the sixth summit of heads of states and governments of the Non-Aligned Movement.

"The summit will discuss the challenges facing the movement and its future, especially the world economic crisis and achieving the development goals in eradicating poverty, improving health and education services and fixing and reforming the United Nations system, the Security Council, Arab-Israeli conflict, the Syrian crisis, Iran's nuclear program and the right of peaceful use of nuclear energy for civilian purposes and issues of disarmament and non-proliferation."
