Oil giants to focus on Iraq in Dubai conference
– A huge conference will be held in October to discuss oil projects and growth opportunities in the Iraqi oil sector.
The conference will be held from October 1 to 3 at the Madinat Jumeirah.

In the conference, attendees will discuss the updates on current projects and future opportunities, as well as the latest technologies suited to Iraq.

Oil and gas giants will be in Dubai to attend the Iraq Mega Projects Conference & Exhibition, which will concentrate on key areas across the oil field services chain including EPC contracting, transportation, construction, logistics, technology, security and infrastructure, said the organizers CWC Group.

Iraq produced 3 million barrels of oil a day in the last month, which moved the country from third to second place in terms of oil output. Iraq overtook the second-largest OPEC oil producer Iran for the fist time since 1980, reported TradeArabia.

The conference producer at CWC Group Natalie Bacon said: "The opportunity in Iraq is vast but in order to develop a maintainable petroleum sector in the country, significant investments must be made into logistics, infrastructure and innovation."

CWC Group is a specialist in energy and infrastructure issues and is dedicated to develop knowledge, creating commercial opportunities and implement strategic solutions for governments and industries.

Iraq has signed many contracts in the last four years and it is the country's policy to sign more oil contracts with foreign giants like Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch Shell, BP, France's Total, Russia's Lukoil and China's CNPC to develop oil infrastructure and to reach targets.

Iraq's new target is to produce 12 million barrels a day by 2017.
