The Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Planning has announced the start of preparation for the region’s 2013 budget.
The Ministry of Planning began its preparation in coordination with the ministries of municipalities, tourism and electricity.

Ali Sindi said: "The ministry started preparations for the budget through dialogue with ministries and organizations in the region."

Sindi added that the Planning Ministry discussed with the electricity, municipalities and tourism ministers about 2013 projects and plans for the ministries regarding projects in execution, ways of implementation and allocating estimated budgets for the projects in 2013.

The minister said: "The necessity of fair distribution of projects was confirmed according to geographical areas, the needs of those regions, their importance and taking attention to complete the ongoing projects that are currently being implemented."
