The Kurdistan Region's Minister of Municipality and Tourism Dilshad Shahab met with the new British consul to Erbil and the Palestinian consul to Erbil in his office separately.
Hugh Evans started his work on July 24 as new British general consul to the Kurdistan Region.

Shahab congratulated Evans and discussed the relations between the two countries and the region's latest developments, according to a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government.

Dilshad also met with the Palestinian consul and discussed the relations between both sides.

The Palestinian consul said that he is very happy to see the Palestinian flag in Erbil, which indicates the good relationship between both countries.

The Palestinian consul asked for closer relationships with Kurdistan, like twinning a Kurdish and Palestinian city.
