Council of Ministry chaired by Nechirvan Barzani Kurdish Prime Minister held Wednesday its 6th meeting on several issues including modifying the provincial laws.
Some powers of local councils have been usurped by Council of Ministry in Kurdistan and that the Kurdish provinces, Erbil, Sulaimani and Duhok demand more authority to observe and decide on their own on the affairs.

The meeting highlighted the quality of administrations practiced by the provinces and promised to grant them more power to stand on their own.

Barzani ordered to form a committee to oversee the amendments and to submit it to parliament to enact it into law.
