The Iraqi government has decided to increase the fund for importing electricity to $1.7b, an official said.



Ali DabaghThe increase was made upon a request from the Ministry of Electricity, government spokesperson Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement.

The statement did refer to the previous fund for purchasing power.



Iraq demands more than 15 megawatts of power supply.
